About Emerge

Built for the leader who develops everyone else.

Emerge is a precision leadership development system built for working operators — store managers, district managers, regional leaders — who are ready to stop waiting for development and start building it intentionally. An assessment that reads how you actually lead. A 90-day plan built around your role and your next one. Weekly AI coaching that remembers every conversation and pushes you forward.

What Emerge Is

A complete system. Not another program.

Most leadership development gives you content. Emerge gives you a system — built around your behavioral profile, your role, and the specific gap between where you are and where you're going.

Identify
The Behavioral Assessment
A precise, role-specific assessment across 6 competencies and 24 sub-skills. Not generic questions — generated around your scope, your team size, and your target role. The result: a numbered, narrative read of exactly where you are and exactly what to build next.
Plan
Your 90-Day Growth Plan
Your scorecard, your learning style, your current role, and your target role all feed into a personalized 90-day development plan. Weekly AI coaching sessions keep you accountable, challenged, and moving — with full memory of your profile and every prior session.
Prove
Your Evidence Portfolio
Every action taken, every score movement, every coaching insight compiles into a behavioral evidence portfolio at the end of each quarter — ready for your next performance review, your next interview, or your next career conversation.
The Origin

Being good at the job doesn't prepare you to lead it.

I started my retail career at Lowe's in 2016 as a seasonal hire. I fell in love with the work — the pace of it, the decisions it demanded, the energy of being around people all day. Six months in, I was permanent. A month after that, promoted to Kitchen Design Specialist. A year and a half later, I got my first shot at leading people.

That's the path most talented people in retail take. You get good at the job, then suddenly you're leading the people you used to work alongside — with no real training on how to do it. What gets you promoted is not what makes you a leader.

That gap followed me everywhere. I launched Macy's Backstage from the ground up — hired and developed 30 people, including two supervisors. I ran merchandise execution for a $50M business. Eventually I had full P&L for a $78M operation, 25 direct leaders, 400+ colleagues. And the same truth held at every level:

The people with the most potential to become real leaders almost never got the development that would get them there.

I started noticing the same five things in every leader who made the jump from manager to leader. They handled pressure without losing their composure. They identified and developed the potential around them. They ran their operations with planning and precision. They approached hard conversations with directness and curiosity. And they owned outcomes completely — no deflection, no excuses.

Those five things became the foundation of the Emerge Scorecard. I built Emerge because the leaders responsible for developing everyone else deserve someone equally invested in developing them. Leadership isn't something that happens to you over time. It's something you build with intention.

The Career Arc

Where the methodology came from.

The Emerge Scorecard wasn't built in a conference room. It was built on the floor.
